Our Respite Care Program supports people taking care of a family member with a disability that is living with them so they can have a break that will allow them to continue to provide support to that individual, making the family stronger and happier.

Our Respite Care Program has been supporting families who have a family-member with a disability living with them so that they can have a break that will allow them to continue to provide support to that individual, making the family stronger and happier.

Program Components...

We offer respite care to those family members who need a break from caring for their loved ones. Services can include…

  • Long-term or temporary respite for family caregivers
  • Hygiene assistance.
  • Meal preparation and diet monitoring.
  • Light housekeeping.
  • Medication management.
  • Errands and shopping.
  • Covering mornings, mid-days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

    Getting Started...

    Individuals who would like to participate in this program should contact their DDA Case Manager or Senior Information and Assistance.

    If you are not yet a DDA client, you can go to https://www.dshs.wa.gov/dda/consumers-and-families/eligibility to determine if you qualify for DDA services, and apply.
